Apple Celery Lemon Juice

Equipment

  • Blender or Juicer
  • Fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup spinach loosely packed
  • 1/4 fennel bulb sliced
  • 1 celery stalk chopped
  • 1 green apple cored and sliced
  • 1/4 inch fresh ginger peeled
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 cup cold water optional, to thin
  • ice cubes optional, for serving

Instructions
 

  • Wash all ingredients thoroughly. Core and slice the apple, chop the celery and fennel, and peel the ginger.
  • In a juicer: Feed spinach, fennel, celery, apple, and ginger through the machine. Stir in lemon juice.
  • In a blender: Add all ingredients including water and blend until smooth. Strain through mesh or cheesecloth if desired.
  • Serve in glasses over ice. Enjoy immediately for best taste and nutrition.

Notes

Adjust sweetness by adding more apple or adding a drop of honey. Use pear instead of apple for variation.
