Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin or flank steak thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt for tenderness
  • 3 tbsp olive oil for flavor
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar for acidity
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large onion thinly sliced

Spices

  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 tsp ground paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, garlic, and all the spices.
  • Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring every piece is well coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for best flavor.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil.
  • Cook the marinated beef in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Remove from heat and let the beef rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the beef marinate overnight. Serve with pita, fresh veggies, and garlic sauce for an authentic experience.
