Ingredients
  

Chicken and Pasta

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts cooked and shredded
  • 12 ounces pasta penne, spaghetti, or rotini

Creamy Tomato Sauce

  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 ounces
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garlic Butter Sauce (Alternative)

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice optional
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a pan, heat olive oil and cook chicken breasts until browned and cooked through. Let cool and shred.
  • For Creamy Tomato Sauce: In the same pan, cook garlic until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, and basil. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Add cooked pasta and shredded chicken to the sauce. Toss to combine.
  • For Garlic Butter Option: Melt butter in a pan, sauté garlic until fragrant, toss pasta and chicken in garlic butter, season with salt, pepper, and optional lemon juice.

Notes

Use any pasta shape you prefer, and experiment with adding vegetables like broccoli, peas, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
