Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Butterfish 6 oz each
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter

Citrus Components

  • 1 lemon Lemon Juice and Zest
  • 1 orange Orange Juice and Zest

Additional Ingredients

  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Shallot minced
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix lemon juice, orange juice, garlic, and seasonings to create the marinade.
  • Coat the butterfish fillets evenly in the marinade and let sit for 30-60 minutes.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and melt two tablespoons of butter.
  • Pan-sear each fillet for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Alternatively, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Prepare the citrus butter sauce by browning butter and stirring in lemon and orange juice.
  • Drizzle the citrus butter sauce over the plated fish and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use olive oil instead of butter. For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
